Thanksgiving Mantel

No doubt thanks to Pinterest, every mantel in the neighborhood will look just like this one, but here's my rendition of the the popular pin. I think it turned out way cute! I'm very excited for Thanksgiving.

Who Am I?

I am a mother.

Before becoming a mother I made fun of people like me. I couldn't comprehend how women could spend their time crafting and cooking, much less blog about making blocks or door hangers or their recipes and receive 10+ comments. Isn't that stuff supposed to be boring?

But becoming a mother changed me. I totally understand now the crippling boredom that comes with staying at home day after day, especially in the winter months. I've experienced the countless hours we have to dream up home decor ideas for the walls we spend many, many hours in. I get the pride that comes from cooking a good meal. I apologize to the people of the world for my ignorance.

So, I've accepted the new me and have started my own blog of craft ideas, recipes, home decor, kid ideas, and whatever else tickles my fancy. Bare with me, I'm new. I still have my "trainee" tag attached for all to see. But I think over the years I may get better and graduate from my newbie status.
